WELCOME!

Formed in 2000, Friends of the Parks is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the stewardship and improvement of the parks in the Fort Wayne, Indiana, area. Modeled after successful efforts in other communities, Friends of the Parks believes that the difference between average and outstanding parks is the involvement of park users in activities ranging from park planning to volunteerism to fund raising.

As other cities have discovered, informed citizens help to create parks that are more integral to the lifestyle and image of their communities and vital to economic development efforts. By informing, educating, and empowering individual park users and neighborhood groups, Friends of the Parks helps our community. Join the exciting park stewardship movement taking place in cities across America.
